I am pleased to announce that Tumble has been selected for the 17th Boston Underground Film Festival for our East Coast Premiere! The festival runs March 25-29 at the historic Brattle Theater in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tumble will be opening the shorts program, Hoping for Something Else, on March 26th at 5:45pm at the Brattle. I will be in attendance as well as my producer on the film, Kelly Stein. Tickets and passes can be purchased here.
We can't wait to see all our friends and fans of the film in the Boston Area at the show. This festival is known for bringing in unique and challenging films that might not otherwise find an audience. They give away their now infamous pink vibrating bunny statuettes to the award-winning films. Check out the full schedule of films here. Below is a wonderful writeup of our shorts program by Nicole McControversy.
In this exploration of youthful nihilism, the spark is innocently lit with a zippo on a dry East Texas night. Parental neglect and vicious adolescent bullying beget bewildering, violent means of escape.
Upon leaving the nest, we gravitate towards our like-minded punk tribe, white-knuckling the increasingly dark path towards adulthood together yet profoundly alone. Sometimes, things go so far wrong that there’s nothing to do but wait around for the inevitable end.
