Last weekend my composer on Tumble, Marcelino Villalpando (he has the best name of all time) and I traveled to Pasadena for the 2015 Pasadena International Film Festival to screen our film for its first California audience. The opening night gala at the Westin was a 1920's-style party with flappers and gents with canes. I rented my first tux and even got hollered at by Doris Roberts of Everybody Loves Raymond to close the door because she was cold. It was awesome.
Our film opened the Love Stories shorts block on Valentine's Day at the Laemmle Playhouse 7 to a packed house. My Uber driver, Jay, from a few days before who took me to pick up my tux rental even brought his girlfriend on VALENTINE'S DAY and asked me the first question of the Q+A. That made me feel special.
Overall, it was an amazing experience., and we got a great response from the crowd. Thank you everyone who came out. We'll see you next year!
